Course Description: This course is designed to help you make the transition from high school to the day after graduation. You will work on the material in this course at your own pace. I will provide you with timeline benchmarks to help you stay one track on not miss any assignments. You will also be evaluated on you performance in the classroom with the LET 1 cadets. Cadets will be responsible for notifying the teacher if there is a reasonable issue preventing you from completing any portion of this course. You will be expected to continue your role on the cadet staff as part of your leadership evaluation grade as well during this course.


PREREQUISITES: LET1-3


Objectives: As a result of this course you will be able to:

  • Improve your mastery of leadership skills by revisiting the Continuous Improvement Project plan for the school year.
  • Plan, develop and teach a class to LET 1 Cadets
  • Learn how to receive and use feedback from students
  • Develop a plan for life after high school and take the necessary actions needed to implement this plan
  • Understand the concept of “Professional Development
  • Challenge the concepts of Individual Rights vs. Rights of Society
  • Describe what a Representative Government means to you
  • Understand how the role and size of government affects your life
  • Describe the impacts technology has on the rule of law
  • Complete a capstone project that allows you to reflect on what you have learned during your time in JROTC
