My name is Russell Bugg and I am so excited to be starting a Theatre/Drama program in Crawford County! I believe that Theatre and the skills it teaches are vital to my students future careers, but more importantly their lives. Setting my students up for success by teaching life skills through stage skills is my passion. I believe one of the most important skills it teaches is building empathy. Through scene work, acting techniques, script study, and many other activities, students are able to experience stories from every walk of life in my classroom in order to build empathy for others. I also find so much joy in seeing my students build an appreciation for the arts and understand why they are important in today’s society. I am so looking forward to working with your students!

I am from Perry, Ga, but I am not a complete stranger to Crawford County. I have family who live in Crawford County and nearby. My beautiful wife, Amy Bugg, is also from Perry. We went to the same high school and fell in love doing Theatre together! We are both starting in Crawford County together this year as she will be the new Art teacher at the elementary school! A few things we love to do are perform, be creative in many capacities, travel, and spend time with our family. We are truly blessed to be here in Crawford County and are so excited to help encourage the arts in this community!
