CCHS Summer Math Challenge

Below you will find print and digital resources for our math students. There are problems, answers, and links to content explanations. Many resources are self-checking as well. Please know that mathematics requires a combination of number sense, critical thinking, problem solving, and procedural skills. Many of these resources are composed of problems designed as a review and exploration of procedural skills only that may support the critical thinking, number sense, and problem solving you will see in your next math course.

Not every skill may have been covered in your 8th Grade Math OR Algebra 1 class and that is OKAY. This packet is not in any way required nor should it influence course placement. It is only a reference to support you in seeking extra enrichment and support during the summer.

Parents/Guardians and students, please know this is just an optional set of resources that are intended to help you structure any summer review that you may be planning. This will not be collected or graded by your child's year math teacher.

If you complete any of the resources with an asterisk, return them to Mrs. Lauren Johnson or any math teacher in the fall, you will spin the prize wheel (examples of prizes may be gas card, gift certificate to nail salon, cash, CCHS game ticket pass, Amazon gift card, etc…) as well as have your name entered into a drawing for a $100 cash prize.

Happy Computing!
